Denis Miroshnichenko elected LPR parliament speaker
LUGANSK, December 21 (Lugansk Media Centre) - LPR People’s Council deputies on Thursday elected Denis Miroshnichenko as speaker of the Republic’s top legislative body.
Miroshnichenko was nominated by deputy Dmitriy Sidorov and elected unanimously by 32 legislators. The only abstention vote was Miroshnichenko’s.
Earlier on Thursday, Miroshnichenko’s predecessor Vladimir Degtyarenko said he was stepping down of his own accord; the deputies met his resignation request.
Denis Nikolayevich Miroshnichenko was born in Lugansk on 8 December 1987. He graduated from Matusovskiy Lugansk Academy of Culture and Arts. He occupied different positions handling youth policy and sport issues. Miroshnichenko was an MP in the People’s Council of the 1st and 2nd convocations.
