Deinego: Everything in place to reconstruct Stanitsa Luganskaya bridge except Kiev's will
LUGANSK, June 2 (Lugansk Media Center) – LPR is ready to reconstruct Stanitsa Luganskaya bridge, but is waiting for Kiev's 'good will', said LPR envoy to Minsk negotiations Vladislav Deinego as he is visiting Stanitsa Luganskaya checkpoint.
Currently there is only one official checkpoint at the line of contact in LPR area of responsibility in Donbass and it is accessible via the bridge in vicinity of Stanitsa Luganskaya. Only pedestrian traffic here is possible thanks to a temporary conduit over the damaged parts of the bridge that was blown up by Ukrainian forces. LPR has been continuously proposing to rebuild it.
"The bridge condition is a critical issue, it should be reconstructed and we only need Kiev's good will, all the rest is ready," Deinego said.
"The damage sustained in 2015 explosion is clearly visible, as well as piers which were hit by later shelling."
"We are trying to put it in order here; we are restoring constructions, painting them, trying to make the passage more comfortable for people."
