Contact Group fails to endorse effective agreement on ceasefire - Deinego
LUGANSK, June 19 (Lugansk Media Centre) – There is still no agreement on a new recommitment to ceasefire in Donbass, said LPR Foreign Minister representing the Republic at Minsk talks Vladislav Deinego.
“At the previous meeting there was an understanding that a new statement on recommitment to ceasefire must be prepared to include particular measures to secure it and provide for liability of trespassers.”
Today the sides have not reached an agreement, Deinego said. ”The dialog came to a deadlock.”
The tabled agreement, he said, was very similar to the previous one announcing spring ceasefire and “absolutely inefficient as it did not include measures to secure compliance”.
Deinego said he hoped that an effective agreement would be reached at the next meeting in Minsk.
