Central Election Committee: 13,000 LPR residents update voter data in 2018
LUGANSK, April 6 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Over 13,000 Lugansk People’s Republic residents updated their voter data in the State electoral register since the beginning of this year, the Central Election Committee website reported.
“Over January - March 13,091 LPR voters requested electoral register bodies to update their personal data,” the Committee’s report said.
“Most requests came from residents of Lugansk, Alchevsk, Sverdlovsk and the Sverdlovsk district, Krasnodon and the Krasnodon district; all of them were duly reviewed,” it said.
In January-February 2018 the Committee reported 8,000 residents update their registration.
Last year, more than 56,600 LPR residents had electoral register bodies update their personal information.
Central Election Committee resolution dated May 23, 2016 set the procedure for keeping the electoral register and approved the necessary document forms. Voter information is updated to avoid inaccuracies in voter lists and meet election standards at all levels.
