Avakov's plan on Donbass aims at eliminating Donbass population – People's Militia
LUGANSK, February 13 (Lugansk Media Centre) – The plan of Arsen Avakov, Ukraine's interior minister, to de-occupy Donbass implies cleansings on the territory of the region, said LPR People's Militia spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko.
The plan provides for a demilitarized zone in Donbass, whereas the Ukrainian border guard and an international peacekeeping mission gradually, step by step, take the designated area and its borders under their joint control, and Ukrainian police and national guard are introduced in the region.
"First of all, there is no alternative to the Minsk process. No matter how many plans Ukrainian political and military authorities draw, they have to fulfill the existing obligations first," Marochko said.
"From the military perspective, the plan is futile, and it implies cleansings in our towns to eradicate all unwanted people. We have no reasons to believe Kiev and its masters. As soon as we leave our positions, they take them under any pretext. What Avakov and his curators are discussing is merely aspects of eliminating Donbass population."
