ARV infection cases below epidemic threshold - LPR Health Authority
LUGANSK, March 23 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The acute respiratory viral infection incidence in Lugansk is 10 percent lower than the epidemic threshold, the city administration press service said citing Lugansk acting chief sanitary officer Spartak Gavrik.
“The incidence is high, weather conditions are felt, but we are 10 percent below the epidemic threshold," he said.
The Sanitary Service takes measures to prevent the coronavirus importation.
"We inspect public places, check measures to disinfect buses, wearing masks," Gavrik said.
No coronavirus cases were recorded in the LPR.
To prevent the threat, LPR Head Leonid Pasechnik put the Republic on high alert due to the coronavirus threat.
The World Health Organization called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus cases exceeded 219,000; of those more than 8,900 died and over 84,000 recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Coronavirus cases were reported in Ukraine and Russia.
