A pensioner from Lugansk injured in explosive device blast
LUGANSK, March 11 (Lugansk Media Centre) – A resident of Lugansk has sustained injuries after triggering an explosive device, the LPR Emergencies Ministry said.
"According to the LPR Ministry of Internal Affairs, a resident of Lugansk was taken to the intensive care unit of the Republican clinical hospital diagnosed with mine-blast laceration of his left limb, forearm wound, multiple shrapnel wounds to both hands," the report reads.
"It has been established that the 65-year-old man accompanied by a friend came to a country house. Approximately 1.30 p.m. they went to the forest located near the Polyusnaya street to collect wood for the oven. At some point, there was a loud explosion. His friend ran to the sound, provided еру emergency assistance to the victim and dialed 103," the LPR Emergencies Ministry said.
The Ministry added that the condition of the victim is satisfactory.
