754 COVID-19 cases reported in LPR - Health Ministry
LUGANSK, September 9 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic medics confirmed 754 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 09:00, September 9, the LPR had 754 confirmed COVID-19 cases,” the report said. “A total of 636 persons have fully recovered and left hospitals with two negative COVID-19 tests.”
“LPR medics have recorded 20 COVID-19 related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic,” the LPR Healthcare Ministry said.
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus contacts has exceeded 27.2 million; of those, over 890,000 people have died. Earlier, the LPR confirmed 741 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures. Most of restrictions have already been eased due to the improving COVID-19 situation.
