725 COVID-19 cases reported in LPR - Health Ministry
LUGANSK, September 4 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic medics recorded 725 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 09:00, September 4, the LPR had 725 confirmed COVID-19 patients,” the report said. “A total of 622 people have fully recovered and left hospitals with two negative coronavirus tests.”
The World Health Organisation called the novel coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first COVID-19 cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts has exceeded 25.6 million by now; of those, over 852,000 people have died. Earlier, the LPR confirmed 704 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures. Most of restrictions have already been eased due to the improving COVID-19 situation.
The Republic’s Healthcare Ministry said that the coronavirus situation in the LPR had fully stabilised and that it was under control.
