53,000 square meters of Lugansk roads repaired in six months
LUGANSK, September 14 (Lugansk Media Centre) - The ELUA road maintenance company repaired 53,000 square metres of roads in the Lugansk People’s Republic capital in six months, the city administration press service said citing the company’s deputy director Yuriy Dudov.
“The company has repaired 53,200 square meters (of roads) with hot asphalt concrete since the beginning of maintenance works ahead of the cold season (in April - eds Lugansk Media Centre), and laid 7,300 tons of hot asphalt concrete,” Dudov said.
Over the designated period ELUA personnel cleared roads and pavements of 16.5 tons of litter, he added.
In 2018, the company plans to repair a total of 85,000 square meters of roads. “We keep to the schedule repairing some 10,000 square metres of roads a month; the works will be completed in November,” the ELUA deputy director said.
Earlier, Lugansk administration head Manolis Pilavov said that ELUA had repaired more than 42,000 square metres of Lugansk roads since the beginning of 2018.
Pilavov also said that the 2018 road maintenance plan target of 85,000 square meters exceeded last year’s by 10,000 square meters.
