494 COVID-19 cases confirmed in LPR - Health Ministry
LUGANSK, June 25 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic medics confirmed 494 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 9:00, June 25, the LPR had 494 confirmed COVID patients,” the report said. “A total of 429 persons have recovered and left hospitals after two negative tests since the beginning of the coronavirus infection outbreak.”
No COVID-19-related deaths have been reported since Wednesday. Eleven people have died since the beginning of the pandemic.
Earlier, the Ministry said that the coronavirus situation in the Republic had fully stabilised and that the government and medics were monitoring it.
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. As of now, the number of coronavirus contacts has exceeded 8.9 million; of those, over 469,000 have died. Earlier, the LPR confirmed 474 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spreading of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and changed the mode of operation of government bodies, companies, organisations and transport. As present, most of restrictions have been eased due to the improving COVID-19 situation.
