3,913 COVID-19 cases recorded in LPR - Health Ministry
LUGANSK, April 8 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Lugansk People’s Republic medics recorded 3,913 coronavirus infection cases in the Republic, the LPR Healthcare Ministry press service reported.
“As of 09:00, March 8, the LPR had 3,913 confirmed COVID-19 cases,” the report said. “A total of 3,231 persons have recovered and left hospitals with two negative test results for COVID-19 since the beginning of the coronavirus infection outbreak.”
The World Health Organisation called the COVID-19 infection a pandemic caused by a novel coronavirus. The first COVID-19 cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 132 million by now; of those, over 2.8 million people have died, according to the WHO. Earlier, the LPR confirmed 3,885 COVID-19 cases.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures.
