2nd Economic Forum in Lugansk welcomes 400 participants - Ministry
LUGANSK, September 5 (Lugansk Media Center) – The 2nd economic forum in Lugansk on 1 September brought together more than 400 experts and business people, head of LPR Economic Development Ministry Department for Strategic Management, Social Development, Economic Analysis and Forecast Tatyana Prokaza told a news briefing at Lugansk Media Centre on Tuesday.
This year the forum featured wider representation bringing together more than 400 international experts in economics and business, ministries and departments representatives, LPR and DPR business people and their colleagues from Russia’s St Petersburg, Astrakhan, Rostove Region, and Crimea, the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia,” Prokaza said.
“Arab countries, Finland, and representatives of public organisation, chambers of commerce and industry and trade unions showed an interest in our forum,” she added.
Lugansk hosted the 2nd Economic Forum as part of the National Economic Achievements Exhibition VDNKh 2017 on 1 September, at which the Republic presented to investors more than 100 investment proposals and offered a range of land plots and industrial sites. Acting LPR Economic Development Minister Yelena Kostenko said that VDNKh LPR 2017 participants had signed more than ten cooperation agreements.
In 2016, LPR held an economic forum within the framework of the National Economic Achievements Exhibition (VDNKh) at which as many cooperation agreements were signed.
